Our Team

A 12‑year journey.

Stewarts Creek Robotics began in 2014 with a scrappy group of 18 middle school students. Twelve years on, we run a team of 40 students in grades 6 through 12 — with more than 400 students having come through the program — competing in over 20 competitions and earning 118 awards along the way.

SC Robotics is committed to helping each individual team member reach their full potential and develop industry-relevant skills and experience they can apply to all their future career goals.

Our Competitions

Two competition seasons a year.

Our team has competed in four different robot competitions over the past decade. Today our students build for two: aerial robotics in the winter and robot combat in the spring.

Robot Drone League Winter · Primary

Robot Drone League

Aerial robotics. Our students design and fly for the Robot Drone League Championships at East Tennessee State University, where the team has competed for three years running.

Kilobots Robot Combat League Spring · Primary · Champions since 2023

Kilobots Combat League

Our spring competition is robot combat. Teams design their own 3D-printed robot under 1 kg including electronics, then split into sub-teams and put several entries head-to-head in the arena.

Our Commitment

To Our Community

By regularly hosting robotics and STEM outreach activities at our facility, events, and science centers.

To Other Teams

By providing our resources, equipment, and experience as well as hosting workshops and teaching classes.

To Innovation & STEM

By being a hub of creativity, where students forge cutting-edge solutions and igniting their passion for innovation.

To Industry Professionals

The Record

Eleven seasons, 118 awards.

A decade in BEST Robotics built the foundation — eight straight BEST Awards at the Music City hub through 2026 — and the team has carried that standard into robot combat and aerial robotics.
